Why do people anonymously send roses on Valentines day?

I understand they need a touch of mystery to make it all exciting and stuff but what if the receiver mistakes it as being from someone else? Then gets in a relationship with them and breaks the person it really came from heart. I feel sad thinking about it T_T

Yeah, that is a good point. But someone can be too shy to be declined, so send out the roses to the person they love and wait and see what will happen and they would take some reaction according to the receiver’s action. In this sense, this can be understood.

If she gets into a relationship with someone else, then it probably wasn’t meant to be anyway. But that would require the other man to lie and say he sent them. If he’s that slick, then he probably deserves to get the girl.

The trick is to time it right. About a week of speculation is the right amount I’d say. Get the info. on which men she’s hoping it’s from, and if you are in the top 5, then you can tell her it was you. If you weren’t on the list of hopefuls, then just don’t tell her at all and watch her go nuts as she never finds out the truth.

I think it’s a great way to maximize the chance of success while minimizing risk.
