Purple or red roses for valentines day?
I have knowen my girlfriend for about 3 years, and have dated for almost 5 months. we say we loved each other at first sight, which makes me wanna get her purple (lavender) roses for valentines day. But I know the red ones are tradition for saying "I love you". So what do you all personally think? what would you girls rather have?
I skipped the roses all-together and bought dried lavender products – oil and soap at a Michigan lavender farm – Leelanau Lavender Breezes

Go Purple
Red is overused. She might enjoy having a different color then everybody else.
Good Luck.

i would love to receive purple rose from my husband, they are a softer sweeter color vs red which is a little more "sexy". depends on the vibe you are going for and at which point during your night your getting them for her. you might think a lavender and pink/hot pink set to spice it up a little. i love your idea!!

Red would be traditional, but who wants to be traditional, go with lavender!

Purple because it’s unique! <33 It would kind of also seem like you went out of your way more to get it because red roses are very common, unlike purple ones! Plus, she’s probably gotten red roses before, you want to stand out! Both are very sweet and thoughtful, I’m sure she’ll love it no matter what colour rose you give her! 🙂

I would say lavender because red is so traditional and purple is different you can get her a teddy bear also that says i love you to go with the flowers. Thats what i would like.

My husband, before we were married, gave me 11 pink roses, and one red rose. with a card that says you are the red rose amongst all the pink. Maybe mix it up and have different colors in the dozen.
