Valentine gift ideas!!!?
What can I do to make Valentines special this year for my BF? I havent had a valentine in years so I forgot how this works lol
We are in a serious, in love relationship, so hes not just some boyfriend its the real deal!
I dont just want like a bear and a card type thing, I want it to be more special, unique, something he will be impressed or happy about.
do people usually buy gifts for this occasion? like actually spend a lot of money of a gift or is it just little love gifts like chocolate or whatever?
any tips/ideas will be appreciated : )
every valentines day i make my boyfriend a basket of his favorite things; candy, snacks, drinks, dvds, books, clothes, video games, picture of us, random valentines stuff, and anything he’s been talking about that he needs or wants. he loves it! also cook him dinner/dessert or take him to his favorite place to eat.
but you could always make him homemade gifts; i’ve done a memory jar before, decorate a jar and put memories in it, movie tickets, other event tickets, notes, things you guys have done together, etc. making a scrapbook is always a good idea. i’ve painted a clock from one of those pottery painting places that says "i love you all the time" but you could always buy a cute clock and decorate it and put that on it. also if youre artistic making a painting or drawing. i also always make a homemade card.

some ideas…
– make a pan of brownies, use a heart shape cookie cutter to transform them into brownie hearts, and then write cute messages on them (get inspiration from those candy hearts, or use those as decoration too.)
– make a scrapbook with favorite memories and pictures from your relationship.
– make one of those fleece blankets with his favorite sports team on it.
– at ‘Things Remembered’ you can get different items engraved – like a set of dog tags with his name engraved on one, and maybe the date you met, or other significant date/saying on the other one. They also have other items available to engrave (http://www.thingsremembered.com)
– make a mixed CD with songs that mean a lot to both of you, and maybe songs that remind you of different events you two have shared together.
– make him his favorite meal for dinner.
Hope this helps and gives you some ideas! Good luck =)

How about a romantic caricature. I happen to know the guy that does them, he’s worked at Caesars Honeymoon resorts in the poconos. They aren’t the goofy kind, and he get’s a good likeness. Just send your photo. His website has a lot of samples for romantic couples. Tell him about yourselves, special moments, interests, and he’ll create something unique he won’t expect, that’s about the two of you.. Less than $100/couple
