what are some craft ideas for valentines day?

i don’t have much money so i need it homemade. something that a kid can make so i can have someone help me, any ideas? i have paper and sisers and glue but i need something to do with them. and another thing, i want to able to make it quick. any ideas???

I have just finished a Valentine craft workshop with a group of eight-year olds.We did two craft projects. One was a mini-book called Five Things I Love About You. It uses coin envelopes, cardboard (you can cut from cereal boxes), paper and card stock. It’s very economical to make, but takes a couple of hours. The other one is a Valentine card made from a Starbucks coffee sleeve and paper. The picture shows a decoration on the front that is cut with a die cut machine. If you do not have a machine, just cut a strip of card stock and stick hearts on it cut from paper instead.

There are pictures and video tutorials at the links below.

Have you thought about Fair Trade? Its like giving two gifts! One to your boyfriend and one to the artisan that made the product. I would check out http://www.guiltfreetrade.com
