I’m babysitting tomorrow and I have gone on Family Fun to find activities to do with the kids. But I can’t really keep their attention for very long. We cook, play games, color, and do crafts. Any other ideas? Thanks!

Go to your store and buy some pottery thingys you can paint.

The children can spend an 1-2 hours painting pottery. It can be
a piggy bank or a plate or a bowl or a tea set. What ever.

You can let them bake, and have pink or red icing.
Have little candies. Have sprinkles. Let them "design" and
eat a cupcake.

Get those "SweetHeart" candies. Get a poster and make a outline of
a huge heart. Put the SweetHearts on the line and glue them.
Now put SweetHearts inside the heart.
Once it is filled in, it is artwork.

Make bracelets. Get the string and some beads. Let them decorate.
I would not recomenned this activity for the 2 year old. Keep her busy.

Google "Valentines Day Games For Kids" and you may get results.
You can set up a game or two.

I need help on this gift for my boyfriend. He’s 17, & we’ve been dating for six months.
I want to make him a yummy sweets basket, but I need more ideas to put in it.
I’ve already got,
-oatmeal raisin cookies.
-twix brownies.
-chocolate covered strawberries.

And if you could give decorative ideas for it too, that’d be greatly appreciated. 🙂

So I wrapped an 11′ by 8” box with green wrapping paper with yellow and blue dots on it! But I can’t just wrap it! Any ideas for decorations? I have lace but if I glue it it always ends up showing glue stains! I want something modern and fun too! I was thinking of sticking a stuffed animal on top! Do you think that’s a good idea for a fifth grader?

For a fifth grader, I would do lots of texture and color. I know it’s a little cliche, but I just love all the reds and pinks and lace for valentines day. To make it more modern, add some black or chocolate colors?
I would make a bow of different patterned ribbons of the same color combinations. If you can’t do that line them all up and then in the middle of all of them use another ribbon to tie them together in a double knot, and then cut off most of the ends.
You can use different kinds of cute comics from the newspaper like the other person said. To do this though, I would use a paint brush and some watery-glue. It can make it kind of paper-mache-ey. You can also use the watery-glue for the lace.
I kind of like the idea of the stuffed animal on top of the box, but it shouldn’t overpower it. If it’s a big stuffed animal you could kind of make it holding the box. That would be cute too!

The fifth grader, no matter what you do, will love the decorations no matter what.

me and my boyfriend are going away to Orlando Florida in February and it happens that Valentines Day falls right in the middle of the holiday.
Its our first Holiday and first Valentines day together so I want to do something special. I would really appreciate any ideas you peeps could come up with.

Orlando gets kind of crazy during Valentines day, so you’ll want to be prepared for that. If you want to eat somewhere nice, be sure to make reservations.

Romantic ideas:
1. Helecopter ride over the city
2. Romantic meal at one of the theme restaraunts at Disney
3. Maybe splurge on a fancier hotel room, maybe one with a jacuzzi or something
4. One of the dinner theaters such as "Arabian Nights"
5. Do a special show such as Cirque de Soleil or Blue Man Group

I bought my man his favorite candy, and I want to come up with a creative container to put them in, but I’m not coming up with anything, because he is a VERY non-fluffy man, so he wouldn’t like heart-shaped glass bowls or anything pink/fluffy/flowery or anything with the words ‘I love you’ on it. I want to create or buy some kind of unique container that relates to v-day in some way, and make it very manly at the same time. And he would love it more if the container had a further usefulness later on. Any ideas? And please, no kid crafts. We’re adults.

One Valentines Day, I gave my husband a very nice hand carved puzzle jewelry box. He still uses it today.

I want to surprise my boyfriend tomorrow with something different than the usual so I am looking for some sexy recipes.

here is a simple recipe. get strawberries and chocolate chips, melt chips by using small pot setting in larger pot of boiling water. Pots should fit as tightly as possible so that the steam will melt chocolate. after chocolate is melted dip strawberries. Let cool on pan then refrigerate. Just on line for many recipes for valentines day. Have a great valentines day.
