Valentines Day Ideas

I will be out of state for Valentines day, and am planning to buy roses for the girl i’ve recently met just to let her know I care about her.

The day after Valentines day, Sunday night…will the roses be significantly cheaper? or will they still be 40 dollars a dozen?

thye will be MUCH chepear. but u look like a cheap ass if u do that lOl

I am trying to think of something to do and a gift for a girlfriend for valentines day… i dont want to do the normal box of chocolates and roses but something a bit more exciting and thoughtfull. I was planning on having a card placed somewhere with a clue to another card with a rose or chocolates along the way finally leading to….. and im not quite sure how to finish it off (romantic meal? present?) any ideas would be much appreciated.

If it helps she loves dancing… should i try and do something to show i know this? I’m really stuck!

Knowing your age would be helpful to answer your question.. If you are in your teens and you really want to blow her mind, take her to a nice restaurant , one you both like.. Prior to going see the host or hostess and arrange at the proper time to have a single red rose and a small gift of chocolates brought to your table..I would have a card stating " Good for a dance ..please tell me when and where " I guarantee you that will be a memory she will cherish..Works every time .. Trust me..

Valentines Day is only two days away, I need a recipe that is absolutely delicious, not too expensive, and nothing too over the top. Any ideas?

Hi !

CHICKEN ALFREDO

2 lbs boneless chicken breasts
4 tablespoons oil
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
3/4 cup heavy cream
salt and pepper, to taste
1 lb fettucine

Heat oil in a 10 inch skillet. Cut chicken breast into strips. Add salt and pepper. Fry on medium heat until cooked through.

Sauce:

Melt butter in saucepan; add cream and cheese. cook over low heat, stirring constantly. Do not boil.
Cook fettucine in 3 quarts boiling water. Mix chicken and Alfredo sauce together. Drain noodles. Put sauce and chicken over noodles.

6 servings.

CHOCOLATE SILK PIE

1 unbaked single pie crust
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup (1stick) butter
1 cup sugar
pinch of salt
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
3 eggs
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In large, microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and butter at 50% power for 2 minutes until butter is melted; stir until smooth, Whisk in salt, sugar, cocoa powder, eggs, evaporated milk and vanilla extract, whisk until well blended. Pour chocolate mixture into crust.

Bake 30 minutes or until filling has puffed, but center still wiggles. Cool completely. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings, if desired.

Notes: Try baking pie shell 8 minutes in preheated 350 degree oven before filling shell. I have used half Splenda and half sugar with good results.

I was looking for some valentines day ideas that would make my girlfriend feel very loved and appreciated. Just some general ideas that i could spin off of would be much appreciated.

I’m making my boyfriend a music video of us, but I think it’s also a great gift for a girl. I would absolutely love it if it were me. If you have a lot of pictures of the two of you, then I think it’s a really cute idea. The stuff to make it comes on a lot of newer computers. It’s actually pretty easy to make. If it’s not on your computer, then you could always buy software for it at Best Buy or somewhere, but that can get kind of expensive. Anyways, just a thought! Don’t forget the cute and typical valentine’s day things to go along with it- like the video, some flowers, and some chocolate. I don’t know your girlfriend, but I personally would love that as a gift! Good luck! 🙂

I don’t know what to do this year…

Last year I made him dinner and made him a scrapbook.

Deskpotato, you probably do not have a girl friend, and that is why you couldn’t care less about if you get anything from a girl friend.

Or if you want to go all out Kay Jewelers has great Citizen watches for anywhere between $100 and $500. He might really appreciate that, especially with a romantic message engraved on the back!
