Only because this year due to work, I will not be anywhere close to a store with roses and id like to buy some for my fiancee. Will they be fresh or am I better off getting something else?

Yes. Keep them in the refrigerator with a little water. There should be someone at the florist that can tell u the exact care.

Don’t know what your budget is, but here are some suggestions from an old married guy:

1. Trip to a Day Spa… it gives her some alone time, and after taking care of a newborn some well deserved pampering.

2. Any jewelry with your child’s name on it.

3. Cook dinner, clean the table and dishes, draw her a bubble bath, and you take the baby for the evening.

Hope these ideas can at least get you thinking.

my boyfriend loves me i know that for sure and valentines day is coming up and i don’t know what to get him. hes goth/emo and sometimes he dresses kinda preppy so i have no idea what to get him…any ideas?

Something that doesn’t have anything to do with his clothes, but with his personality. Does he like to eat? You could bake him a cake. Does he like to read? Give him a cute book with cheesy phases or something. I mean, being ‘alternative’ doesn’t mean you should practice Valentine’s Day in a special way.

i don’t have much money so i need it homemade. something that a kid can make so i can have someone help me, any ideas? i have paper and sisers and glue but i need something to do with them. and another thing, i want to able to make it quick. any ideas???

I have just finished a Valentine craft workshop with a group of eight-year olds.We did two craft projects. One was a mini-book called Five Things I Love About You. It uses coin envelopes, cardboard (you can cut from cereal boxes), paper and card stock. It’s very economical to make, but takes a couple of hours. The other one is a Valentine card made from a Starbucks coffee sleeve and paper. The picture shows a decoration on the front that is cut with a die cut machine. If you do not have a machine, just cut a strip of card stock and stick hearts on it cut from paper instead.

i have some recipes in my head that i am thinking about

Chocolate Fondue. Get a pot of chocolate melting with some cream and some Tia Maria if you like, Then cut up some beatiful fruit to sit on a plate around it. Make sure there are lots of strawberries, cherries (take the pit out but leave the stem on) and cantaloupe. A bowl of sweetened whip cream on the side never went astray as well… Lovely!

hey, im having a valentine’s party & i need ideas! its a teen party, everyone 12-14. i need decorations, food, and games. kissing games & stuff r okay. on games, nothing bbabyish we’re all in middle school!
also, invitations! i asked this question before, but got only 1 answer! please help!

The colour theme should be either red and pink, red and white, or pink and purple. Ask everyone to wear something the colors you have chosen. Play games like spin the bottle and truth or dare.

Some good games are:

Broken hearts

Cut large hearts out of red construction paper. Cut hearts in half, using a zig-zag or other shapes, making each one unique. You should have enough half hearts so that each person at the party gets one. As your guest arrive hand them one of the half hearts and tell them to find their match by finding the other half.

Famous couples

Write names of famous couples on mailing labels. When you’re guests arrive place one label on their back. They need to guess who the famous couple is by asking yes or no questions to other people at the party. They may not ask the same person more than one question. This is a great ice breaker.

The flowers have been around for a week now and haven’t wilted that much yet. I wanted to use them to make rose water for lemonade or some pastry. How safe is it to use them? If they’re not (because of pesticide or some chemical), is there a way of making them safe for cooking?

Probably not. You have to assume that they are NOT organic and have pesticides in/on them. There’s no way to make them safe for cooking, because the toxic chemicals may have been in the soil, so they’d be absorbed into the petals too

and filled the bottom of the bag with candy like hershey kisses and other chocolates
& baked some cookies and cookie cut them into hearts..
