Valentines Day Ideas

i work at a pre-school and i want to do some new crafts for the kids !!
the kids are 4 years old so nothing too hard where they can’t do themselves !!!
any ideas

There are many great ideas already posted here. I’m going to share a personal activity that I do for Valentine’s Day. First, the theme is Valentine’s Day and the message is sharing, kindness and giving to others. We begin by learning the song, Tony Chestnut, by The Learning Station. This is actually an interactive movement song and is a play on names. You point to your toe, knee, chest, nut (head) then who you love. It goes on from there with other names with movements including Eileen, Neil, Pat, Bob, Russell and Skip. I don’t want to type all of the lyrics here in case it’s against copyright laws. The activity page for Tony Chestnut also contains the perfect art activity. It’s a heart and the children draw a picture of who they love on their heart. I read them the book, The Giving Tree. I then have the children cut out additional hearts. We go on a mini concert tour (3 year old class next door) and perform the song for them. The 4’s then give the 3’s hearts that they can draw a picture of who they love on.

This activity has turned into such a HIT that our entire school now does it! Plus the song is so popular the school performs it on parents night. And it gets a standing ovation!! Here is Tony Chestnut being performed:

Does anyone have any ideas of something that won’t take too long/isn’t too big but is good and chocolate? Like would be possible to make some kind of" dirt(as in cookie crumbs..not really dirt..lol) cookie" and use icing to make a flower?

If so anyone have recipes to make "dirt cookies" and icing? Also is it possible to dye chocolate pink?

have you heard of worms in dirt dessert well you can make something like that but more romantic here is a few pictures and stuff

my mom makes it she puts chocolate pudding layer then a layer of oreo "dirt" then the worms….instead of worms you can do flowers made out of chocolate like the person above said or find gummy flowers or something and if you want "grass" you can if you like get shredded coconut and food color it green by putting it in a plastic bag, adding some green color and just shaking it

me and my boss is trying to get something going on for valentines day like baking cookies , having a coloring contest for the kids. We work in retail as asst managers in the mall at a shop. What decorations or ideas for valentines day would you consider?

Construction paper hearts.. Decroating cookies/ cupcakes… Home-made cards…

i am getting my girlfriend roses for valentines day and i want to do something sweet with them..Any ideas on what i should do? or something i could put in a note with them..thanks

tie a ribbon and a note on each one.
put a hershey kiss with each one.
make a path with them to a romantic dinner, or bed.
make a heart with them on your bed, ground, grass, etc.
frame them around a door of your house, kitchen, living room, bedroom, etc.

I want to give my husband a good valentines gift but we are so broke. Does anyone know of an inexpensive gift to get a guy? Or any romantic ideas of something that I could do?

Send a naughty basket to his work with champagne,chocolates,undies, invitation to dinner etc?

Been dating my girlfriend for 14 months, have done the jewelry thing for last years V-day, birthday and Christmas. I am trying to save money for my daughter’s wedding in May but I am struggling to think of a romantic yet frugal gift for this year’s Valentines day. Any ideas?

Valentine’s Day should be about romance more than about the gift. Treat her to a romantic candlelit dinner for two, complete with champagne and chocolates. You do the cooking. Follow it with something specifically romantic (depending on her tastes, of course). The fact that you cooked the dinner and went to all the effort should mean more than a piece of jewelry. As in all gift-giving, its the thought that counts.
