the recipes on the boxes come out like poop so i made my own recipe!
i make them in an 8 x8 pan so they come out H U G E =]
i swear your bf will love you forever if you make these!!! =]
…or atleast remember you forever lol
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
almost a whole 16oz bag of large marshmallows
6-7 cups rice crispy cereal

melt butter in microwave (about 20 sec)
add marshmallows – microwave 1 minute, stir, and microwave another minute
add vanilla
make sure all melted
add 6 cups rice crispy treat, adding up to a cup more if needed
pour into 8×8 pan, gently pressing into shape
leave covered for an hour

i already have a really high paying job but it doesnt take up much of my time so i thought about opening a home buisness and im really good with crafts of all kind but i would like to make teddy bears that are personlized kinda like build a bear i guess but people would order them.and i was thinking craft shows and ebay.and make no bear the same so everyone would be one of a kind.is this something you might want i mean bears are great keepsakes for kids right?and theres valentines,easter,christmas,halloween,and birthdays.for themes.how many people think this is a good idea?please dont be rude.any tips or help would be apprecitated also thanks alot.

That is a wonderful business idea! Craft shows and ebay would be better for having a large variety of premade bears. If you take orders through those, be sure to get full payment up front.

You could do smaller, easy bears also – bear of the month club, holiday bear club, birthday bear club — endless possibilities.

Custom bears could include bits of special blankets or fabrics (such as someone’s favorite shirt or dress).

Also try to find a local mentor on the crafting end who can give you special knowledge in your field.

Think of where you’ll keep your supplies, what storage and sewing room you’ll need, how you’ll ship them (special boxes? which shippers?), etc. Most of all, remember to keep this fun for you while keeping both costs and day to day details in hand.

My husband and I are buying our first house & closing on Feb. 19th. Plus, our 2nd anniversary is March 10th. So we’ll be a little broke for V-day. I cook dinner every night… but if anyone has a recipe that tastes really gourmet & isn’t a pain in the neck to make, I’ll try it.

We went to Olive Garden last year on Valentines day & it was terrible. It took our waitress took forever & a day to come to our table. Then about 30 minutes to bring out glasses of iced tea, then another 45 minutes to bring out our food. My chicken was undercooked & cold. I sent it back & took another 25 minutes to get another meal… it was awful.

Here’s what I normally keep on hand or can easily get:

-White wine
-Olive oil, margarine, vegetable oil
-Baguette/french bread
-Garlic
-Spices/herbs: basil, crushed peppers (a lot of types of peppers), thyme, oregano, rosemary, salt, pepper, grill seasoning, lemon pepper seasoning, etc.
-Milk
-Boneless skinless chicken breasts
-Salad stuff
-Pasta
-Frozen vegetables
-Onions, potatoes, bell peppers

I don’t like fish.

A really easy thing that tastes good and looks nice is grilled chicken with lemon pepper. If you have a Foreman Grill, that will work, or you can bake it. All you do is put a little olive oil and lemon pepper on each side of the chicken, and throw it on the grill! If you’re going to bake it, put it in the oven on 350 for about 20 minutes (but definitely check the middle). Slice it, serve it over some pasta tossed with cheese, get a nice bottle of white wine, and you’re all set! 🙂

My school like to do the typical decorations and we are looking for something creative. Any ideas are appreciated!

Have a dance, the typical school way, but spice it up, you know, do dance contests, fashion shows, photo booths, and the non-typical things for a school dance. try not to do things that people don’t like. go around school and do a poll, plot down ideas that they come up with. then poll on the ideas, take the top 4 and throw them in there, play some songs that are "good" songs and get the teachers who go and the dj to get out there and dance the night away. tell people to dress sophisticated but casual, no suits, unless this is a big deal then tell them to go ahead, try not to let people go on dates, tell them to hang out there, so that if a person goes out with one person, then if there is someone else who wants to go out with them then they don’t feel bad. good luck

Go for it. Tho I would get a bit more creative with it. A female friend once told me women like to be given [a few] flowers that symbolize something as opposed to a million roses. Do some research on what each type of flower means and give her an assorted few of them.

What can I do to make Valentines special this year for my BF? I havent had a valentine in years so I forgot how this works lol

I dont just want like a bear and a card type thing, I want it to be more special, unique, something he will be impressed or happy about.

It tensely depends on his needs, on his characteristic, and all that what he likes.
But let me give you a good tip: presents, gifts, toys, are all money bought.
My point is, try to make a present, from your own mind, and not from a shop.
Example would be, taking him out in a beautiful place(in nature), and telling him a secret, or just opening yourself to him of how much you really love him.(He will never forget that day)

Don’t overdo the romantic thing just yet. You don’t want to freak her out.
Tell her she’s attractive and why. Beautiful, soul-wrenching eyes?
Tell her she interesting and why. Smart in school? activites? Be careful not to sound like a stalker.
Tell her you’d like to know her better and if she’s interested……to meet you at a certain place (diner, bookstore, Starbucks), at a certain time and day. In fact, enclose with the card a gift card or certificate to where you want to meet her like Appleby’s, Starbucks, Borders and Books, etc..). Your thoughtfulness might just get you a date. If she’s not interested, it’ll be easy for you to tell and you’ll know where you stand.
