Any good decoration ideas for a Valentine’s Day wedding?
I am getting married on Valentine’s Day and need help with ideas for decorations, flowers and favors. My colors are Apple Red, Light Pink, and white.

to you BOTH!
My hubby and I will be sharing our 2nd anniversary this coming Valentine’s Day!
Since it was the 2nd marriage for both of us, we were very low key. One thing I did was to make our own wedding invites. I took a cute rectangular pad of notes (all of this stuff was Valentines’ theme), and placed them on a sheet of paper, attached carefully with 2-sided tape. Then I used WORD to type the invite on to the tablet sheets. After I was done with that, I came across some really cute Valentine’s day soft, pliable plastic sticky’s that were of varying sizes of hearts, V-day sayings and such. So, I laminated the invites, then attached the little decorations. On the back of the invite, I had a copy of a cute map directions to the Church. These invites were then placed in a standard sized business envelope (pink colored), all in keeping with the red, pink and white theme.
My hubby wore grey and black, and I wore red and black pantsuit.
The after-wedding festivities had valentines balloons, cake, just general stuff. Immediate family and friends.
Like I said, very modest, intimate, small, but memoriable. Had cute little valentine bags full of candy and nick-naks given out for those who came to the wedding, some with gift cards to various restaurants (our way of saying ‘thank you for coming’). A nephew did a video, others had cameras for pics. All very nice.
I hope I came up with SOMETHING you can use.
Best to you and future hubby! Valentines Day is the BEST day to get married!
God Bless you both!

not to point out the obvious but how about HEARTS???

Hearts might be nice

I’d be careful not to overdo the hearts theme, you want it bridal and classy not looking like an elementary school valentine’s day party.
A heart here and there okay, but not everywhere. Your color scheme already is very valentine’s day.
One idea for place cards/programs: I love Victorian and 1920s valentine’s cards and you may be able to find reproductions as well.
As for decorations, I think crepe paper, bells, and ballons are kind of tacky, stick to some beuatiful flower arrangements with those colors.

This sounds very nice,
I would advise you to stear away from the obvious theme with all the cute hearts and heart shaped decorations
be different and have a sofisticated valentine theme, think old vintage elegance.
e.g. have invitations, letters, cards etc in oldstyle joint writting

turkish delight favours in pink or white

you could put them in jars on the tables or in napkins or boxes
If you wish to have any heart shaped decorations, i sujject it would be nice in white (for a different feel)

I was also going to have my wedding on Valentine’s Day but decided against it because it also happens to be my birthday! I do have a lot of good ideas for you though.

Not sure if you’re a traditional or non-traditional bride but my friend wore this dress to her wedding! It’s actually a quinceanera gown by Alyce.

my head i luv valentines day
I do not care for Valentine Day weddings, way too overdone. I would say get away from the norm and do not have a heart in sight.
References :
why not get some purple decorations as well since purple stands for love and royal. you could get some roses because roses stand for love it would be even better if it is red roses. you can design your wedding place full of hearts since it is valentine’s day and inside each heart would be your memories and his memories together. in the middle there would be the biggest heart and in the heart would be a picture of you and him together.

OK, a wedding on Valentine’s Day is not tacky at all. It is the most popular day of the year for a wedding for a reason.
For flowers, I would pick roses for sure.
I say regardless of anything, choose a favor that is useful and practical, something every guest will enjoy.
Here are a few good choices:
This was the best and most useful favor we ever received – Slice of Love Pizza Cutter: http://www.favorsandaccessories.com/slice-of-love-pizza-cutter.html – Everyone hates getting a pizza that is not cut all the way through and how many times do we curse a hot out of the oven frozen pizza while trying to cut it with a steak knife?
These peelers are pretty useful as well: http://www.favorsandaccessories.com/apeel-to-my-heart-stainless-steel-peeler.html
Good luck with your wedding!
